Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre’s Holiday Musical, The Gingerbread Man, Visits UACCB

The Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre on Tour will perform The Gingerbread Man at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in Independence Hall. Tickets for the event are free and available at First Community branch locations in Batesville, Southside and Cave City or at the door the night of the event.

Children’s Theatre on Tour is part of the State Services program at the Arkansas Arts Center. Recognized by The Drama League as one of the best regional theatre companies in America, the Arkansas Arts Center Children’s Theatre is the only professional company in Arkansas that produces children’s literary works for the stage.
“The Children’s Theatre on Tour brings the magic of the theatre to thousands of children and families across the state,” said Arkansas Arts Center Executive Director Todd Herman. “Every year, their performances wow the audiences and create extraordinary theatre experiences that educate, challenge and inspire young people and their communities.”

In the AAC production of The Gingerbread Man, Grandpa Nick couldn’t be more surprised or delighted when the magical cookie springs to life and dances around the kitchen. The Gingerbread Man is written by Keith Smith and directed by Katie Campbell with music by Lori Isner.
