Arlo Guthrie Tickets Now On Sale; First in Series of 2014 Celebrity Concerts

Those looking for the perfect holiday present this year might want to consider purchasing tickets to the March 29, 2014 Arlo Guthrie concert, at the Ozark Folk Center State Park’s auditorium.

Arlo carries on the tradition, started by his father Woody Guthrie, of promoting traditional and modern styles of American Folk music.

Reserved premium tickets, which cost $40 each, can be purchased over the phone or in person through the Ozark Folk Center’s administration office at 870-269-5823 or through the Cabins at Dry Creek at 800-264-3655.

General tickets, which cost $30 each, can also be purchased over the phone or through the administration office and cabins.  In addition, general tickets will also be sold at the park’s Homespun Gift Shop and the General Store.

According to Mr. Guthrie’s official website, his career exploded in 1967 with the release of “Alice’s Restaurant,” whose title song premiered at the Newport Folk Festival and helped foster a new commitment among the 1960s generation to social consciousness and activism.

His “Here Comes the Kids” tour will be on the road through May 2014. Mr. Guthrie is joined by his son, Abe Guthrie (keyboards and vocals), Bobby Sweet (on guitar and vocals), and old friend Terry A La Berry (drums and vocals).

Mr. Guthrie’s concert is the first in the series of 2014 Celebrity Concerts at the Ozark Folk Center State Park.  For more information on upcoming Celebrity Concerts, visit the Ozark Folk Center’s website at www.ozarkfolkcenter.com or call 870-269-3851.
