Bethlehem House Looking to Fill Empty Bowls

Bethlehem House is seeking the support from churches and other faith based organizations throughout Faulkner County to help raise awareness of its mission to minister to the homeless by hosting an “Empty Bowls” benefit for the homeless.

Churches and other organizations have soup or chili suppers to benefit the Bethlehem House.

“By joining forces with area wide churches and other faith-based organizations, we can serve more needy families and children especially during the holiday season,” said Judi Lively, executive director. She went on to say, “These events are fun to attend and will allow us to get to know the local churches on a deeper level.”

Proceeds from “Empty Bowls” will go toward the food pantry, daily soup kitchen and other aides for residents living in the transitional shelter.

Aimee Prince, director of development for Bethlehem House, said, “By having multiple events throughout the community, we hope to raise awareness of our mission and be able to continue to provide programs that offer a hand up to our neighbors.”

Churches and other faith-based organizations are encouraged to contact Aimee Prince, Director of Development at (501) 472-4897 or aimee@bethlehemhouse.net for more information.
