Friends of the Library Book Store Cleburne County Now Open Wednesdays and Saturdays

The Cleburne County Friends of the Library Book Store, located across from Crye-Leike Realty on Hwy 25B. North in Heber Springs, is now open from 10:00-2:00 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.The sales are open to the public and procedes benefit the Cleburne County Library, Greers Ferry Library, and the future Quitman Library. Spaghetti Supper Cove Creek Fire Department August 30

The Cove Creek/Pearson Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will host a Spaghetti Supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, August 30. The station is located on Hwy 16 West, between Gateway Country Junction and Cove Creek Grocery. Although costs have increased, admission remains $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for children ages 6 -12 and free for children under 6. Vegetarian sauce is available upon request.

Bad Boy Mowers Announces Expansion Plans in Batesville

An economic development announcement was made today at Bad Boy Mowers at 1030am.  Governor Beebe made the announcement of some very exciting news.

Bad Boy Mowers, of Batesville announced plans to expand its operations in Batesville.  The company will expand in a 274,000-square-foot facility, which was formerly home to GDX Automotive.  With the addition of the former GDX facility, Bad Boy will have more than 570,000 square feet of manufacturing and distribution space.

The new facility will be used as a distribution facility for orders placed through Tractor Supply Company, one of Bad Boy’s major clients.

The company currently manufactures five versions of zero-turn mowers, which are available through dealers throughout the U.S., as well as Australia, Canada, Denmark, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Bad Boy plans to begin distribution in the new facility by January of 2009.

KFFBS own Bob Connell will be the M.C. at Greers Ferry Lake Area Razorback Club Banquet Tonight August 21. The 1st Annual Greers Ferry Lake Area Razorback Club Banquet with  Chuck Barrett  Voice of the Razorbacks and Special Guest Speaker Dave VanHorn Razorback Head Baseball Coach. Other guests will include Coach Norm DeBriyn, Past Head Baseball Coach from 1970–2002, and Coach Harold Horton, Vice President of Razorback Foundation.

The banquet will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Heber Springs, tonight Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 6pm. Ticket prices are $12.50/person.
