Kindergarteners from Westside Elementary School made Christmas more merry and bright for patients, guests and associates at WhiteCounty Medical Center. Under the direction of Kindergarten teacher Kristy Parish, the nearly 120 carolers from the school’s kindergarten classes sang a selection of Christmas tunes for their audience in the WCMC main lobby, at 3214 E. Race.
The students performed as part of WCMC’s Arts in the Hospital program. The arts have been known to help speed the healing process, and the WCMC Arts in the Hospital program encourages patients and guests to enjoy a variety of art forms during their visit. Art displays range from elementary school student drawings to professional paintings and photography, as well as musical performances from choirs and bands featuring students of all ages.
