AARP Driver Safety Schedule of Arkansas Classroom Courses Announced For May-June 2013

AARP Driver Safety classroom courses will be held in multiple locations across Arkansas in May and June of 2013.

AARP Driver Safety’s classroom course is administered by volunteers and covers topics such as defensive driving techniques, new traffic laws, and rules of the road. Participants will learn how to operate their vehicle more safely in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment, as well as how to make adjustments to accommodate common age-related changes in vision, hearing, and reaction time. Although the course is geared toward drivers 50 and older, it can be taken by licensed drivers of all ages.

AARP Driver Safety helps drivers refresh their skills in today’s increasingly challenging driving environment. In Arkansas, drivers 55 and older who successfully complete the course may be eligible to receive an auto insurance discount.  AARP Driver Safety participants should check with their insurance agent prior to signing up for the course.

The classroom course costs just $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. Locate a classroom course near you by calling toll-free (877) 846-3299 or going to www.aarp.org/findacourse
