Batesville fire fighters are battling more than flames! They’re fighting muscular dystrophy! On Saturday, August 17 at 10 a.m., Batesville fire fighters and the Batesville community will join together for the fight against muscular dystrophy. Batesville Fire Truck Pull teams will brave the heat to raise money for over 900 MDA Arkansas kids and families. This will be the second annual Fire Truck Pull to benefit the fight against muscle disease. Last year, the Batesville Fire Department raised $8,600 to enhance local services that MDA provides such as local MDA clinics (Arkansas Children’s Hospital and UAMS), equipment loan closets, and summer camp. This year, they have their goal set at 15 teams and $10,000.
