American Studies Institute Distinguished Lecture Series with Stephen Moore

Member of The Wall Street Journal editorial board and senior economics writer Stephen Moore continues the 2012-13 American Studies Institute Distinguished Lecture Series Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at Harding Universityin Benson Auditorium.

 Moore divides his work between Washington, D.C., and New York focusing on economic issues, including budget, tax and monetary policy. He contributes to the Journal frequently and was previously known as former president of the Club for Growth, which raises money for political candidates who favor free-market economic policies. Moore also served as president of the Free Enterprise Fund before coming to the Journal.

 He served as a senior economist on the Congressional Joint Economic Committee, as a budget expert for the Heritage Foundation, and as a senior economics fellow at the Cato Institute where he published a number of studies on federal and state tax and budget policy.

 Governor Mike Beebe will continue the lecture series, Tuesday, March 5 and concluding the series April 25 will be Bill Simon, president and CEO of Walmart U.S.
