Campaign Launches “Doctors for Griffin” and names Chair Dr. Jim Mark Ingram will lead campaign’s first coalition

LITTLE ROCK – Second District Congressional candidate, U.S. Army Reservist and former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin today announced the chair of  “Doctors for Griffin,” the campaign’s first coalition.

Jim Mark Ingram, M.D., will chair the group, which will communicate with, organize and mobilize the health care community to support Tim Griffin as the Second Congressional District’s next congressman.

“Considering the many issues that are important to the families of Central Arkansas, especially healthcare, job creation and a fiscally responsible government, without exception Tim Griffin will best represent Central Arkansas on every issue,” Ingram said.  He continued, “Congressman Snyder voted for Speaker Pelosi’s health care legislation that will result in decreased quality of care, more debt, less jobs and more government intrusion between the doctors and their patients.  In contrast, Tim understands that health care reform should not come at the expense of innovation and high quality patient care.”

“I am honored to have Dr. Ingram on my team.  He brings a wealth of experience and understands more government involvement in health care is bad for both doctors and their patients,” said Griffin.

Dr. Ingram is a graduate of UAMS College of Medicine and is now a clinical instructor in pediatrics at UAMS and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.  He is a partner/owner in the Little Rock Allergy and Asthma Clinic.  His practice is focused on diagnosing and treating allergic diseases and asthma in children and adults.  He is past president of the Pulaski County Medical Society and is currently a member of the Board of Trustees of the Arkansas Medical Society.  He is married to Allison Ingram and they have four children.
