Carl Orville Connell Father of Owner and General Manger of KFFB Passes Away
Carl Orville Connell, 79, of Las Vegas entered into rest on October 22, 2009 at St. Joseph Rehab Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Carl was born May 14, 1930 in Melrose Park, Illinois to Ross Jacob and Gloria Blanche McLeod Connell.
Connell served four years in the US Navy as a boiler technician aboard USS Lloyd Thomas. He was a retired owner of O’Connell Plumbing.
His places of residence have been; Las Vegas, Nevada, Franklin Park, Illinois, North lake-Illinois.
Survivors include his wife Charletta LaVay Connell and five children from his first marriage, Gary Lee Connell (Debbie) of Wisconsin, Wayne Bradley Connell (Anna) of Illinois, Linda Beth Connell Warthen (Gary) of Illinois, Kevin Gregory Connell (Lori) of Illinois and Robert “Bob” Darin Connell (Pamela) of Arkansas.
And six step-children Michael Pieson of New Jersey, Darlene Palatine of Illinois, Debra Connell of Illinois, Robert Piesen of Illinois, Tina Steger of Illinois, Tracy Leviner of Nevada. Sister Gloria Kathleen Connell Hein of Coal City Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Keith Edward Connell and a step-daughter Cheryl Keating.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
