Volunteers with party barges and boats are needed. Just check in at any of the participating marina to get an assignment. After the trash is picked up, volunteers will be treated to a BBQ Lunch and entertainment at the Narrows Park in Higden. JR’s Hickory House will be catering the event for the first six hundred volunteers. Jason Greenlaw and the Groove will be entertaining as well as the Harding Concert Choir. SFC Stevens with the Recruiting and Retention Command out of Little Rock will again be joining in on the clean up. For more information contact the association office at 888-490-4357.

On July 26, business leaders from White County and the state will gather at the second White County Business EXPO.   This is the eleventh year that the Chamber has hosted a Business EXPO; however, we are rebranding the event and working regionally to widen the exposure of the event.  “White County Business EXPO – Passport to your Success” is the theme this year.  

The EXPO will be held in the Ganus Center on the Harding University Campus.   A “By Invitation Only” Business Networking Event will be held from 11:00 until noon and will feature guest Speaker Jeff Hankins, President of the Arkansas Business Publishing Group.  Mr. Hankins will present an overview of business in Arkansas.  The EXPO will open to the general public at noon and will remain open until 4:00 p.m.
