Christmas Earring Workshop at Arts Council Gallery Highlights December 2nd Friday
The 2nd Friday Wander and Wonder Walk continues in December with a holiday theme. The Batesville Area Arts Council will host a Christmas Earring Workshop from 5 to 8 p.m. in their gallery at 246 E. Main Street. Jewelry artist Darla Pritchett of Cushman will conduct the workshop. Participants will need to purchase a Swarovski Crystal Drop, Christmas Tree, or Snowman Earring Kit. Pritchett will furnish the tools and assist participants in making the earrings. A velvet pouch for protecting the earrings will also be provided.
Simply Southern Playhouse at Main and Broad will feature the Down Home String Band, consisting of Jerry Bone, Dennis Horton, and Mike Asher. Their website is downhomestingband.com. Admission is $5/$2 for children 12 and under. Concessions are available for purchase. The popular venue seats about 120, so plan to arrive early to avoid disappointment
MorningSide Coffeehouse at 616 Harrison Street will continue its popular Open Mike format from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Admission is free. Coffee, tea, and baked goods are available for purchase. Musicians looking to perform are welcome.
Mast Main street merchants will remain open until 8:00 P.M. Plan to do your Christmas shopping downtown and keep your money in the community. The 2nd Friday Downtown Wander and Wonder Walk is a project of Main Street Batesville in cooperation with the Batesville Area Arts Council and participating merchants.
