Country singer Kevin Mac to kick off Performing Arts Series at UACCB

Up-and-coming country music singer Kevin Mac will kick off the Performing Arts Series at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. The performance will be in the Independence Hall Auditorium.

Mac’s show, “Classic Country Jukebox,” is a tribute to the music of country legends like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Sr., George Jones, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and more. Mac puts his own fresh spin on classic hits while engaging his audience in this fun, feel-good show.

A native of King George County, Va., Mac grew up on country and bluegrass music. Despite his youth, he has a great deal of experience in the music industry, opening for headliners such as Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, Martina McBride, Trace Adkins and Colt Ford. He’s also collaborated with some of the most accomplished songwriters in country music. Mac signed his first major record publishing deal with a Los Angeles-based studio in 2014.

The Performing Arts series is presented courtesy of First Community Bank and UACCB. Tickets for the performance are $10 and can be purchased at First Community Bank locations in Batesville, Cave City and Southside, or at UACCB. For more information, call 870-612-2040.
