Emerald Duo Concert in Edgemont
The North Central Arkansas Foundation for Arts and Education (NCAFA&E) will present a bonus concert featuring The Emerald Duo, October 27 at 7:00 P.M. at Peace Lutheran Church, 10849 Edgemont Rd. Edgemont, Arkansas. The Emerald Duo consists of Susan Doering, violin and Dieter Wulfhorst, cello. The ensemble has performed worldwide and has been nominated for two Grammy awards.
The Emerald Duo explores the unusual repertoire of original compositions for violin and violoncello. Since 1986 the duo has played in the United States, Canada, and Mexico and has performed in Europe on a regular basis. The duo spends their summers teaching and performing for the International Masterclasses in Flamslatt, Sweden and participating in the Victoria (TX) Bach Festival. They are also the directors of the Musica Viva chamber series in California’s Central Valley. Both members teach at Fresno Pacific University.
