KFFB 106.1 FM Regional Health Fair This Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm September 27, 2008

The public is invited to the KFFB 106.1 FM Regional Health Fair Saturday, September 27, 2008 in Fairfield Bay.  The HART Center, Fairfield Bay’s 23,000 square foot fitness center, will host the event from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Would you like to know how your health is doing? The Hart Center will be filled with over 75 doctors, nurses, and other specialists providing vital tests, including: Total Cholesterol Screening, Prostate Screening, Urine Screening, TSH- (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone), Pulse Oximetry, Video Otoscopy, Breast Care, Women’s Health and many other tests. All were chosen to assess general health and head off potentially life-threatening problems.
American Red Cross Blood Services Greater Ozarks- Arkansas Region says the demand for blood is growing faster than ever. Our supply can’t keep up. That’s why your donation can really mean the difference between life and death. Five Hundred units of blood needs to be collected each day to meet the needs of hospital patients in Arkansas, Southwest Missouri and the Mid-South/Memphis. American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the KFFB 106.1 FM Regional Health Fair in Fairfield Bay
The services, exhibits, and testing are free or at a nominal charge.  Last year’s health fair had over 600 participants from all around North Central Arkansas.
“KFFB 106.1 FM will be giving away $106.10 every hour, as well as a wealth of information about maintaining good health. We are excited about this years Health Fair it should be the best yet!” stated Bob Connell Owner and General Manager of KFFB 106.1 FM.
Fasting before the cholesterol test is encouraged, but health professionals agree that in mature citizens eating before tests causes little deviation in test results.
