Little Rock – U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln’s campaign today launched its official Twitter page, http://twitter.com/blanche4senate.

“The Lincoln campaign will utilize our Twitter feed to communicate directly with Arkansans, and just as importantly, allow them to communicate directly with us,” said Steve Patterson, Lincoln’s Campaign Manager.  “As Arkansans trend toward more online-focused communication tools, Senator Lincoln is consistently exploring new methods of communicating more effectively with her constituents.  Twitter has become an important source for news, and the Lincoln campaign Twitter page will serve as a quick-response mechanism for reporters and the online media community.”

The Lincoln campaign used its Twitter feed this week to announce Senator Lincoln’s first Arkansas field hearing as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry, as well as the launch of “Veterans for Blanche” initiative.
