Batesville’s very own Mike Wagenblast wins big in Houston, Tx.  Mike Wagenblast who trains out of the Bad Boy gym, looked more than impressive winning his pro debut via 3rd round TKO on the Savarese Promotions card in Houston, Tx.  It was a big upset, he was facing a fighter in Chris “Hollywood” Hernandez who was 3-0 and a big hometown favorite.  Most fighters start their professional boxing career on small town cards against other fighters with sub par records.  This was a huge step for Mike who fought his first fight at the Hiltons Ballroom in front of over 1,500 people.  The fight was competitive up until the end of the second round when Mike put “Hollywood” Hernandez down with a straight right hand.  Hernandez made it through the second, but would not return for the third round.  Look for Mike to be back in action sometime in September.
