Ozarka College Culinary Arts Gourmet Dinner Brings Classic Steakhouse Offerings to Melbourne

The Ozarka College Culinary Arts Department will host a Gourmet Dinner on Thursday, Feb. 13 in the Lobby of the John E. Miller Education Complex on the Melbourne campus, located at 64 College Dr.

The theme for the dinner is ‘The Steakhouse’ and will feature students’ rendition of the classic old world steakhouse offerings, such as flame-broiled steaks to creamed spinach and hand breaded onion rings.

Advanced Culinary Arts students work alongside Lead Culinary Chef Lou Rice and instructor Mimi Newsome to develop the evening’s menu and prepare the unique dishes. Each semester, Culinary Arts students host gourmet dinners to gain real-world experience to better prepare them in their future careers.

Reservations are required and seating is available for 5 and 7 p.m. Please call 870-368-2073 for more information or to make a reservation.
