Senators Lincoln, Pryor and Rep. Berry Announce $265,000 for Tumbling Shoals

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor along with U.S. Representative Marion Berry (AR-01) announced today that Tumbling Shoals Public Water Authority has received a $265,000 grant and a $337,000 low-interest loan from the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Rural Development Program. The funding will be used to add 25 new customers to an existing system and provide for an additional water storage tank for the community. “These federal dollars will help provide critical water infrastructure improvements that will support growth in the region,” said Lincoln. “I’m pleased to see this investment in our state, and I remain committed to ensuring that Arkansas receives the funding and resources we need.” “The importance of a reliable, clean water supply cannot be underestimated,” said Pryor. “I’m pleased we can send these federal dollars to support Tumbling Shoals’ water infrastructure, which will better serve families and farmers.” “Infrastructure investments in our rural communities are essential for economic growth,” said Berry. “This grant is one of many steps we are taking to ensure communities like Tumbling Shoals remain strong.”
