Children’s Theatre in Clinton!

Children’s Theatre on Tour, a touring company of the Arkansas Arts Center’s Children’s Theatre in Little Rock will perform Merry Christmas Mouse at 9:00 A.M. on December 15 at Clinton Auditorium.  Local sponsors for the performance are Chesapeake Energy, Log Cabin Museum and North Central Arkansas Arts and Education Foundation (NCAFA&E).

This original play is based on contemporary children’s book written by Laura Joffe  Numeroff.  The book  that serves as a basis of this production is basically a counting exercise for young children.  The  storyline centers around the decoration of the Christmas tree, a child’s imagination as he stares at the decorated tree, as well as an exploration of the imagination of children at Christmas.

All Arkansas Arts Center touring programs are supported in part by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment of the Arts.    Schools attending the performance will be Quitman, Bee Branch (Southside), Greer’s Ferry (Westside), Shirley and Clinton K-3.   Families and parents are welcome to attend.
