Construction work on U.S. Highway 67 in Pulaski and Lonoke Counties requires overnight lane closures, according to Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD) officials.
Beginning Sunday night, May 7, crews will be working within the U.S. Highway 67 median between Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville and State Highway 5 in Cabot to place concrete barriers. Overnight lane closures for northbound and southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 67 will be in effect to allow for construction.
The overnight lane closures will occur Sunday night, May 7 through Saturday afternoon, May 13, weather permitting. Traffic will be controlled using signage and barrels. The public is advised to be cautious when traveling in the work zones.
The inside and outside lanes of northbound U.S. Highway 67 will alternately be closed between 8:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. the following afternoon. This closure is from Vandenberg Boulevard to north of Jacks Bayou.
The inside and outside lanes of southbound U.S. Highway 67 will alternately be closed between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. This closure is from Highway 5 to Vandenberg Boulevard.
This project (Job CA0605) is part of AHTD’s Connecting Arkansas Program and includes widening 4.6 miles of U.S. Highway 67 from Vandenberg Boulevard in Jacksonville to State Highway 5 in Cabot.
