KFFB 106.1 on Location at Folk Fest April 16

Organizers of the 49th Annual Arkansas Folk Festival in Mountain View found visitors was “In Tune with the Ozarks” April 15-17, when traditional music and handmade crafts took center stage in a celebration of local heritage.

The Ozark Folk Center state park kicked off its season offering free admission to the craft grounds Friday through Sunday, and free shuttle rides between the park and downtown both Friday and Saturday. Visitors could park at the Folk Center and avoid trying to park in limited space in the downtown area.

The Stone County Saddle Club sponsored rodeos at 2 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday at the fairgrounds.

Other activities included tours of Blanchard Springs Caverns, mountain biking, camping and hiking in the Ozark National Forest, and fishing on White River.
