Pryor Invites Fish and Wildlife Director Ashe to Arkansas to See Impact of Critical Habitat Designation

WASHINGTON D.C. – In response to concerns raised by families, businesses, and agricultural producers, U.S. Senator Mark Pryor today invited Director Daniel M. Ashe of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) to Arkansas to see the impact that a critical habitat designation for the Neosho Mucket and Rabbitsfoot Mussel could have on the state.

“The Fish and Wildlife Service needs to see first-hand the impact this critical habitat designation could have on our state,” Pryor said. “I’m pleased Director Ashe has accepted my invitation to visit Arkansas. I’ll continue to work with FWS and the Arkansas delegation to ensure Arkansas landowners have the freedom they deserve.”
