The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 2014 Business Expo. This 4-hour jam-packed marketplace features more than 75 businesses showcasing their latest products, services, and technologies. Gift card drawings will be held and there will be opportunities to win cash and other prizes. Food vendors will be set up to feature “A Taste of the Chamber.”
Awards to be presented are Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and Ambassador of the Year.
The keynote speaker for the Business Expo will be Mary Ann Campbell, “Dr. Mac”, with Money Magic, Inc. Mary Ann’s credentials match and exemplify her leadership skills. She received a Presidential appointment to Chair the National Women’s Business Council. Dr. Campbell was selected by Arkansas Business as one of the top 100 women in Arkansas. She is a founding member of the Arkansas Chapter of the International Women’s Forum. Dr. Campbell is a committed money educator and community leader. She teaches Personal Finance in both the College of Business and the Family and Consumer Sciences Department of the University of Central Arkansas. Mary Ann volunteers to teach personal finance in Little Rock high schools. She was a founding member of the Arkansas Jump$tart Coalition and serves on the Financial Planner’s Association Board. Dr. Campbell Chairs the Advisory Council for the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Centers. Dr. MAC, as her students call her, received her Ph.D. from Iowa State University, her M.S. from Texas Women’s University, and her B.S. from Ouachita University.
Crystal Johnson, BACC President/CEO said, “We are proud to partner with First Community Bank to provide the business community with an opportunity to network with other professionals and exhibit their products and services to a diverse and captive audience. We expect “A Taste of the Chamber” to attract over 500 potential customers. The Business Expo is designed to create sales and leads for our members.”
The event will take place January 23, from 10a.m.-2p.m. on the campus of UACCB in Independence Hall. The Annual Awards Ceremony will begin at 10:00a.m. in the auditorium. The Expo Hall will be open to Chamber members only from 10a.m.-12p.m., “A Taste of the Chamber” will be open from 11a.m.-1p.m., and the Expo Hall will be open to the public from 12pm-2pm.
