2nd Friday Features Music and Art Downtown Batesville

The Randy and Stephanie Wade Band, with Allen the singing Cowboy, will perform in concert at Simply Southern Music Playhouse on Friday evening, April 8. Downtown Duet Randy and Stephanie are multi-talented instrumentalists and singers/songwriters.  Allen, on acoustic guitar, performs his unique western style. Debbie Cochran, playing bass, will sing some of her new songs recorded in Nashville. Simply Southern is located at the corner of Main and Broad Streets.  Doors open at six; music begins at seven.  Admission is $5, $2 for children 12 and under. Seating is limited so plan to arrive early.

The Cinnamon Stick Coffee and Sandwich Shop at 151 W. Main will host popular local singer/guitarist Robin “Bird” Goodwin, who will present an evening of Gospel music. The Cinnamon Stick will also have an impressive variety of teas, coffee drinks, and desserts for sale.

Local multi-talented artist Aline McCracken will be doing a clay modeling demonstration at the Batesville Area Arts Council Gallery beginning at 6:00 p.m. McCracken will be making clay character figures. Work by area artists will also be on display. The Gallery is located at 246 E. Main. Admission is free and refreshments will be served. 

Elizabeth’s Restaurant and other downtown businesses will be open for dining, shopping, and recreation.  2nd Friday is organized and presented by Main Street Batesville with the cooperation of Main Street merchants.
