Arkansas Advanced Energy Association Announces 2023 “emPOWER” Event
The Arkansas Advanced Energy Association (AAEA) will hold its 11th annual meeting and policy conference November 10th, 2023, at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences in Fayetteville. A welcome reception will be held the previous evening on November 9th, 2023 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.

The event, called emPOWER Arkansas, is the state’s largest gathering of advanced energy stakeholders. Event attendees will hear updates from industry leaders on a number of topics, including a discussion around the development of equitable pathways for career education and skills development within Arkansas’s advanced energy sector. Attendees will also hear from legal and legislative professionals on topics focused on the current landscape surrounding advanced energy initiatives and policies. The emPOWER event will include a luncheon and industry awards presentation.
Registered attendees will also receive access to discounted tickets to the Arkansas Razorback football game against the Auburn Tigers on Saturday, November 11.

“With such a constantly evolving industry, this annual gathering of stakeholders is an optimal opportunity to share, learn and collaborate,” said AAEA Board Chair Alex Ray. “We look forward to hosting meeting participants in Northwest Arkansas for the first time in emPOWER’s history and highlighting notable investments and success stories of our partners from this corner of the state.”
A number of individuals and companies will be highlighted for their dedication and contributions to the energy industry through the following awards:Ron Bell Advanced Energy Leadership Award – To recognize an individual with a strong record of outstanding and consistent contributions to Arkansas’s advanced energy industry, whose work is having a significant, sustainable impact on the industryAdvanced Energy Rising Star Award – To recognize a “rising star” within the industry for contributions to his/her organization and/or growing impact on the industryPower Partnership Award – To recognize a collaboration between an energy utility and a customer to identify creative solutions to achieve common goalsPower Project of the Year – To recognize a notable energy project having significant economic impact.
