6th Annual ASO & ASYO Side-by-Side

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and the Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestras, conducted by John C. Jarboe, Tom McDonald, Casey Buck and James Hatch, will present the 6th annual Side-by-Side concert on Saturday, January 31 at 7:00 PM at the Robinson Center Music Hall in downtown Little Rock. This concert will feature performances by the Preparatory Orchestra, the Prelude Orchestra, the Academy Orchestra as well as a performance by the ASO with the ASYO together, conducted by ASO Associate Conductor Geoffrey Robson. The program includes Wagner  Overture to Die Meistersinger and selections from Tchaikovsky Symphony No. 4. Tickets to the Side-by-Side concert are $20 for adults and $6 for students. The Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestras
The Arkansas Symphony Youth Orchestras began as a dream of the Arkansas Symphony’s founders in the 1960s, and today continues to attract Arkansas’ leading student-musicians. Ranging in age from nine to eighteen and traveling from more than 36 communities throughout the state, the ASYO has grown to 200 members.  It is the goal of the ASO to provide quality ensemble experience and concentrated personal attention to any student desiring to participate in the ASYO program.  Further, it strives to provide all the tools necessary to achieve this goal. The three orchestras are led by a team of dedicated professional musicians who are committed to a standard of excellence that all have come to expect from the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.

Arkansas Symphony Orchestra
