Roy Schneider. 96, of Fairfield Bay, Was found this afternoon after an extensive search. Several agencies, including the Fairfield Bay police, Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office, Stone County Sheriff’s Office, and Arkansas State Police investigators were: involved in the three-day operation.
Following a Van Buren County 911 call, investigators were dispatched to an isolated area near the Stone and Van Buren County line. Northwest of Shirley, Arkansas. At about 1:30 pm, Mr. Schneider was found dead. His body was located about 3.5 miles from his vehicle.
Officials believe that no foul play was involved; however, the matter remains under investigation.
