Description: Ozarka College will feature the ‘American Voices’ series
Tuesday, Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
at its Melbourne campus in the Lecture Hall of the John E. Miller Building.

The series is sponsored by the Ozarka College Cultural Events and Diversity Committees and, in addition to being available for students, the event is open to the public on the main campus in Melbourne at no cost.

A Native American gourd dance will begin the events, followed by a half-hour presentation on the Trail of Tears. Native Americans from Missouri and other local Native Americans will be on hand to tell short stories about their heritage.

Cherokee bean bread and Aniyunwiya Cake will be served .

To end the series, a forum will be held titled “Heritage of the 21st Century First Nation Indigenous People.”
