BACC to Hold Ribbon-Cutting for BSD Lending Libraries

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Batesville School District’s Lending Libraries on Thursday, December 1, at 5:45 p.m.

The Batesville School District has partnered with the Chamber, Intimidator, and the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville to place seven Lending Libraries in Batesville, Desha, Sulphur Rock, and Cushman, where community members are encouraged to borrow a book.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, students and families are invited to a showing of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” at the Melba Theater. Each family will receive a free book bag, including a copy of the Dr. Seuss classic. The events are free and open to the public.

The ribbon-cutting will be held at The Melba Theater at 115 West Main Street in Batesville. All community supporters, chamber members, ambassadors, board members, and staff are invited to attend.
