Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church Mt. Pleasant celebrating its 150th year

Celebrating 150 Years of Worship at the Same Location! Mt. Pleasant, Arkansas – Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, AR, is celebrating its 150th year of worship at Homecoming on Sunday, May 2, at the church. The church has touched many lives during its existence and the public is invited to come join in this celebration. Rev. Bruce Qualls, of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, will lead the Sunday morning service at 11am. Church members are providing a meal following the service and then local historian Craig Ogilvie (of Batesville, AR) will talk about the history of the Barren Fork church and cemetery (where burials date back to 1859). The rest of the afternoon is open, allowing time for attendees to enjoy fellowship with one another. Pictures and stories of the last 150 years at Barren Fork will be available. Where is the Barren Fork Church? The church is located in Mt. Pleasant, 18 miles north of Batesville. Take Highway 69 and turn east on Pearl Drive/County Road 87 and then turn north on Barren Fork Road/County Road 75.
