Batesville annual Business Expo was a Success

The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) hosted its annual Business Expo presented by FNBC on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. The expo theme was “One Hit Wonders” and featured over 100 vendors.

“We were so excited to return to our normal format for the annual Business Expo,” says Shelly Hendrix, BACC Membership Director. “Without our sponsors and vendors, this event would not be successful. Over a thousand visitors attended the expo and sampled local cuisine, browsed new furniture, checked out the newest line of tractors and UTVs, and learned more about what our community businesses offer.”

Centennial Bank won the designation of “Most Festive Booth.” Their booth theme centered around the most famous One Hit Wonder of all time, “The Star-Spangled Banner” by Francis Scott Key. Staff dressed in their best patriotic outfits and gave away a weedeater from Greenway Equipment. Centennial Bank received a large trophy in recognition of its achievement.

Sonic Drive-In’s Cherry Limeade mascot beat First Community Bank’s Seymore the Squirrel mascot after an intense tie-breaking dance-off. Other participating dancing mascots included: Sonic’s Hot Dog, Batesville School District’s Pioneer Joe, Peco Foods Chicken, Citizen’s Bank CeeBee the Money Bee, North Arkansas Garage’s MC Hammer, and a hula girl from Community Bestcare.

FNBC presented the 2021 Business Expo with additional support from the City of Batesville, Merchants and Planters Bank, Peco Foods, Rawk Imprinting, Sonic Drive-In, Suddenlink, UPS Store, and White River Health System.
