First Baptist Church invites families and children of all ages to attend “Big Top Family Fun Nights” which will take place Friday, August 6 and Saturday, August 7 from 5:30-7:30 each night.
Special guests Ned and Joan Way of Louisville, KY. will perform both nights. Ned and Joan are professional illusionists, jugglers and family/kids evangelists. Their credits include performing for Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus, Disneyland, Disney World, and they have also been featured performers with Kid’s Gig, a part of the Billy Graham Crusade. Those attending will be well entertained by their abilities and inspired by their message.
Ned, president of No Way Productions LLC, is a licensed minister. Joan has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Northern Iowa. They are recipients of the “Excellence in Ministry” award presented by International Network of Children’s Ministry. They travel from coast to coast, and have gone beyond US borders, reaching children and families with their presentations, seminars, and workshops.
On Friday August 6 free hot dogs and drinks will be served beginning at 5:30. The performance will begin about 6:00, followed by a snow cone party. Saturday August 7 a bounce house will be open before and after the performance. Door prize drawings will be held both nights for children ages 12 and under. Church groups are invited to come and sit together as a group and be recognized one or both nights.
Ned and Joan will also be instructing the campers ages 8-14 during First Baptist’s Performing Arts Camp August 3-7. Ned will preach the 9:00 a.m. service on Sunday, Aug. 8, and a ‘Big-Top Blowout’ performance will take place Sunday night at 6:00p.m. with children ages 5-7 presenting the mini-musical “I Am A Promise,” and the older group performing the new skills they learned during the week.
