Bill Cuts Spending, Provides Critical Disaster Relief and Funds Government into November

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) issued the following statement after House passage of the Continuing Resolution (H.R. 2608), which would provide short-term funding for government operations through November 18, 2011:

“I supported today’s bipartisan spending bill because it reflects the agreement we reached in August, cuts spending and funds government operations and disaster relief.  This bill funds the government until the deficit reduction committee finishes its work, which I hope will include fundamental tax reform, a plan to reform and save Medicare and a plan to get our spending on a sustainable path.”
