Boozman Supports Adoptions Advocates for Adoption in Advance of National Adoption Day

Saturday is National Adoption Day and U.S. Senator John Boozman (R-AR) expressed his strong support for adoptive and foster families in Arkansas.

“Few things in life are more important than working to ensure that all children grow up in safe, healthy homes. Every child deserves the love and support of a family and I believe that we must work to make that a reality. Families across Arkansas are committed to sharing their love with children who need parents. On National Adoption Day we honor those who are opening their hearts and their homes to provide children with a bright future,” Boozman said.

Boozman is a cosponsor of the Senate-passed resolution recognizing November as National Adoption Month and November 23 as National Adoption Day. Honoring the work being done to raise awareness about adoption, Boozman recognizes Arkansans for their efforts to provide permanent, loving homes to children. As part of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute which coordinates the Angels in Adoption program, Boozman has recognized Arkansans for their dedication to provide permanent, loving homes to children. This honors outstanding individuals for their dedication and commitment to providing children with the protection, permanency, safety and love of a family.

Boozman nominated Judge Xollie Duncan as the 2013 Congressional Angel in Adoption for her success in bringing families together in adoption. She was honored during events in Washington in October.
