Businesses Invited to Learn About Employing Those with Disabilities

In observance of October as disabilities awareness month, the Batesville office of the Arkansas Department of Career Education, Rehabilitation Services Division, will host a drop-in educational meeting from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12,in Room 104 of Independence Hall at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.

 Information will be provided about employing people with disabilities, specifically the financial incentives and educational training available for employers and the training and resources available to currently employed and future employees who have disabilities. Representatives from area businesses are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. Brown bag lunch is optional.
