The Conway Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its final CEO Luncheon for the year on Wednesday, December 16. The CEO Luncheon is sponsored by Nabholz Construction and will be held at the Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center.
Guest speaker will be Steve Smith, president of the South Central Region for Verizon Wireless. In this role, Smith is responsible for successfully overseeing all acquisition efforts and leading, developing and growing the region’s business, retail, indirect, finance and operations functions.
Smith brings over 16 years of telecommunications experience with Verizon Wireless and its legacy companies to the role, including a background in international finance, business development and strategic planning. Smith has held various leadership positions including vice president-Transition Planning, staff vice president-Strategic and Financial Planning for Verizon Wireless, group vice president-International Finance for Verizon, director-International Strategic Planning for Verizon and associate director-Regulatory.
Smith holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the State University of New York at Binghamton and an MBA with honors from the University of Rochester. Smith is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
The CEO Luncheon is open to all employees of Conway Area Chamber of Commerce member businesses. Tickets are $25 per person.
