The City of Melbourne will celebrate Arbor Day with a tree-planting ceremony at the City of Melbourne walking trail on Tuesday, April 30, at 2 p.m.
Melbourne Mayor Shannon Womack, Izard County Forester Kenny Smothers, Ozarka College President Richard Dawe and children from the Ozarka College Kids Academy will participate in the tree-planting ceremony. A Tree-City USA Award will be presented by the National Arbor Day Foundation and the National Association of State Foresters.
The event will be held at the walking trail in Melbourne, Ar on Tuesday, April 30th at 2:00pm.
Ozarka College is a comprehensive technical/community college, with locations in Fulton, Izard, Sharp and Stone counties. The college offers 28 associate degrees, technical certificates and certificates of proficiency, as well as workforce training, continuing education and adult basic education.
