VFW Riding Group Dist 5 (VFWRG) and Veterans Outreach Center (VOC) would like to thank the community for coming out and supporting our Hot Dog Cool Out held on Friday, June 6, 2015 at the Lightle Senior Center. It was an extremely hot afternoon, but we had lots of people show their dedication to our causes.
VOC would like to thank Army Veteran, 2006-2011 Kuwait and Iraq, Sheinna Beltran (Member of VFW 2330 Searcy) for donating all of the food and drinks; thank you to Army Veteran, 2013 Iraq and Afghanistan, Larry Motes (chairman of VFWRG Dist. 5 ) for donating the equipment and tables for the Hot Dog Cool Out. Also a thank you to Tanya Webb for supplying the photo booth from Central Arkansas PhotoBooth, which created many goofy memories.
The event was a fundraiser for both the VFWRG and VOC to inform the community exactly what our two groups do to help veterans. Thank you to all that attended and volunteered their time and efforts to raise money for both groups. With donations and purchases of food, each group made approximately $180 to support their continued efforts to helping our community’s veterans.
Thank you again for all your help and hope to see you all at our future fundraisers which include a Night with Jewelry, Holly Bunn will be setting up displays of high fashion jewelry for sale and all the proceeds will go to the Veterans Outreach Center. She is inviting the public to visit on June 19, 2015 at the Lightle Senior Center at 2200 E Moore Ave, Searcy from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. This is a come and go event and will have a huge selection of 1/2 price jewelry. And a rummage sale that a date has yet to be set.
