Conway Symphony Premiers Free Concert

The Conway Symphony Orchestra extends an opportunity for all members of the community to see the introduction of the orchestra’s 35th season, A Concert in the Park, on Friday, September 20th at 7:30 p.m. in Simon Park at Downtown Conway, led by Music Director and conductor Israel Getzov. This free concert features repertoire for upcoming events and includes music from the 2017 Disney film Beauty and the Beast. Join guest conductor Isaac Terceros, founder and music director of the Santa Cruz Philharmonic in Bolivia, as he leads the orchestra in Giuseppe Verdi’s Overture from La Forza del Destino.

Bring folding chairs, picnic blankets, and fully immerse yourself in the culture with local cuisine and food trucks that will also be at the event. “There is something magical about coming together as a community to listen to music live in the center of the city,” Getzov said. The event runs to be about an hour in length and the experience is not something you will want to miss a minute of.

A Concert in the Park is sponsored by Acxiom. “Acxiom is proud to support the Concert in the Park community concert and excited to partner with the Conway Symphony Orchestra to ignite creativity through music,” said Crystal Floyd, engagement manager at Axciom.
