Cotton Releases Statement on U.S. Court of Appeals Obamacare Ruling

U.S. Senate candidate Tom Cotton released the following statement in response to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit in Halbig v. Sebelius:

“Today’s ruling is just the latest example of why we must start over on healthcare reform,” said Cotton. “Senator Pryor thought it was a good idea to rubber-stamp a poorly written and ill-conceived takeover of healthcare that would be enforced by the IRS. As a result of this court decision, we now know that the Obama administration has illegally spent billions of dollars on unlawful subsidies, for which American taxpayers will be asked to foot the bill. This raises the serious question of whether or not Senator Pryor even read the Obamacare legislation prior to voting for it.”
