Destination Photo Workshop Planned

A workshop in photography will be conducted at Petit Jean Mountain State Park on May 2, led by Photographer Bill Ward. The Eye … The Difference is designed for all levels of expertise and will utilize several locations on the Mountain for hands-on instruction.

The workshop will headquarter at Mather Lodge where a room has been set aside for discussions and demonstrations at mid-day. Ward will also deliver a session called Ansel Adams—the Man and how he set the standard for Fine Art Photography, which is from a six-week course he teaches in Colorado at the University of Denver’s “OLLI” program.

Ward has been photographing in Arkansas and around the world since the early 1960s and has amassed an archive of almost half a million film images in addition to digital captures. He is author of two books, Conway As it was … As it is, a photographic history of the city by that name, and Beyond the River—Stories of Life Near the Arkansas.
