A year-long investigation culminated in a number of arrests of individuals in Faulkner and Van Buren Counties. The drug sweep was a cooperative operation involving officers with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the 20th Judicial District Drug Crime Task Force, the Arkansas State Police, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department, the 16th Judicial District Drug Task force, the Vilonia Police Department, the Independence County Sheriff’s Office, and the Arkansas National Guard.
At the time of their arrests, several of the suspects were in possession of drugs including an individual in possession of one-half pound of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $28,000.00. Officers also discovered quantities of cocaine, crack and marijuana.
“Narcotics investigations are difficult, at times dangerous and a time consuming process. Working together with other state and federal law enforcement agencies, we are better able to broaden our scope and have a greater effect on the ability of drug dealers to transport and sell narcotics within our area.” said 20th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney, Marcus Vaden.
The arrests that were made include the following individuals in Faulkner County:
Angie Battles, age 39, of Conway was charged with 2 counts of delivery of Methamphetamine, both Class Y Felonies. If convicted of these offenses, Ms. Battles could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
(Above) Emmanuel Benitez, age 21, of Conway was charged with 2 counts of delivery of cocaine, both Class Y Felonies. If convicted of these offenses, Mr. Benitez could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Leah Faye Browder, age 27, of Conway was charged with 1 count of delivery of marijuana, a Class C Felony. If convicted of this offense, Ms. Browder could face imprisonment of 3-10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction and a fine of up to $10,000.00.
Daion Davis, age 31, of Little Rock was charged with 2 counts of delivery of cocaine, both Class Y Felonies. During the arrest of Davis, undercover officers had arranged for Davis to deliver an additional amount of cocaine to them. He was arrested for a third delivery of cocaine and for being in possession of a separate amount of cocaine which was in the vehicle. If convicted of the delivery charges, Mr. Davis could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction. On the separate possession charge, Davis could face imprisonment for an additional 3-10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction and a fine of up to $10,000.00.
(Above) Tyrome D. Henderson, age 36, of Little Rock drove Daion Davis to Conway to complete his additional delivery. A separate amount of cocaine was also located in the center console of Mr. Henderson’s vehicle. Based on these actions, Henderson faces charges of delivery of cocaine for his actions as an accomplice to Davis and for possession of cocaine regarding the drugs found in his vehicle. Like Davis, Henderson could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction. On the separate possession charge, Henderson could face imprisonment for an additional 3-10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction and a fine of up to $10,000.00.
Jeremy Harrison, age 23, of Little Rock, was charged with 1 count of delivery of marijuana, a Class C Felony. If convicted of this offense, Mr. Harrison could face imprisonment of 3-10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction and a fine of up to $10,000.00.
Jose Hernandez, age 37, of Conway was charged with 2 counts of delivery of methamphetamine, both Class Y Felonies. If convicted of these offenses, Mr. Herdandez could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Amanda Elizabeth Hopkins-Kopp, age 31, of Conway was charged with 1 count of delivery of methamphetamine, a Class Y Felony. If convicted of this offense, Ms. Hopkins-Kopp could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
Lloyd C. Jensen, age 35, of Malvern was charged with 2 counts of delivery of methamphetamine, both Class Y Felonies. If convicted of these offenses, Mr. Jensen could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
(Above) Judith Ann Piggee, age 50, of Conway was charged with 3 counts of delivery of cocaine, Class Y Felonies. If convicted of these offenses, Ms. Piggee could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
(Above) Mark S. Quattlebaum, age 49, of Conway was charged with 1 count of delivery of methamphetamine. While Mr. Quattlebaum was being arrested, a consentual search of his home was conducted and additional methamphetamine, marijuana and a firearm were discovered. On the original delivery charge, Quattlebaum could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction. Quattlebaum will also face the additional charges regarding the possession of the narcotics and weapon found in his home.
(Above) Pedro Lux Sajbin, age 23, of Little Rock was charged with 2 counts of delivery of methamphetamine, Class Y Felonies. If convicted of the delivery charges Mr. Sajbin could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
The individuals who were arrested in Van Buren County include:
(Above) Armando Marquez Lopez, age 45, of Bee Branch was charged with 3 counts of delivery of marijuana, Class C Felonies. When Lopez was arrested he was also found to be in possession of marijuana and faces an additional charge of Possession with Intent to Deliver. If convicted of each of these charges, Mr. Lopez could face imprisonment of 3-10 years in the Arkansas Department of Correction and a fine of up to $10,000.00.
(Above) Didget Marie Wilder, age 36, of Bee Branch was charged with 1 count of delivery of methamphetamine, a Class Y Felony. If convicted of this offense, Ms. Wilder could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
(Above) Arthur Atkins Wilder, age 40, of Bee Branch was charged with 1 count of delivery of methamphetamine, a Class Y Felony. If convicted of this offense, Mr. Wilder could face imprisonment for 10-40 years or life in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
“Our goal is to eradicate the drug trade in this district. We will not tolerate the business of selling drugs within our area. Our focus is on finding the drug dealers, building strong cases to convict them, and getting them out of our community by relocating them to the penitentiary”.” said Vaden.
