El Dorado Tea Party Hosts a 9/12 Rally at the Union County Courthouse

EL DORADO, Ark. – Tea Party organizers in coordination with The Conservative Action Project will host a 9/12 rally this Saturday at the Union County Courthouse in El Dorado.  The rally will begin at 2:00 PM on the East Side of the Union County Courthouse.

Several speakers will address the rally, including Curtis Coleman, who is running for the GOP nomination to challenge U.S. Senator Blanche Lincoln, and Marc Rosson, candidate for U.S. Congress to challenge Mike Ross in 2010.

“The rally will focus on the healthcare bill currently before Congress and the Principles and Values of the 9/12 project,” said John Wilson of the Conservative Action Project.  “September 12th is significant because we want people to remember the world we woke up to on September 12, 2001, the day after the terrorist attacks that killed 3,000 Americans.  We woke up to a new country with a new attitude, all of us were united and we all pulled together and we got through that horrible attack.  The Tea Party Rally will focus on trying to get back to that mindset.”

“We love our country and do not want to lose it.  People are upset and want our leaders to listen,” said Wilson.  “Arkansas does not want Washington, D.C. telling us when and where we can receive medical treatment.”

“According to the Congressional Budget Office, Obama’s socialized medicine and rationing scheme will cost taxpayers trillions of dollars, more than the total annual taxes now collected by the IRS,” Wilson said.  “This bill will ration healthcare, with long waiting periods and government bureaucrats deciding who is worth enough to society to get needed treatment.  It will force private insurers out of business, denying the people of Arkansas freedom of choice in health care.”

“There will be patriotic presentations and speakers from all over the Ark-La-Miss region,” said Wilson.  “The event promises to be fun, educational and stimulating.”
