Exhibit of Arts and Crafts at the Ozark Heritage Arts Center in Leslie May 9-July10

The Buffalo River Artisans Guild will sponsor an exhibit of Arts and Crafts
in the Rear Gallery of the Ozark Heritage Arts Center in Leslie.  Some items
will be available for sale.  The items will remain on display from May

Leslie historical items will be on display in Ozark Heritage Arts Center
Main Gallery starting May 6 and continuing throughout the month.  Items will include photographs, newspaper items and other artifacts and memorabilia.
These are items that are not currently on display in the Museum.  The items
will be on display during normal hours Tuesday-Saturday from 10-4.

An Ugly Woman Pageant will be held Saturday, May 9 at 7:00 p.m. Local men will don female attire in their attempt to be crowned “ugliest woman.”
Prizes, including trophies will be given to the winners.  Tickets for the
event are $4 and $5.  A list of participants will be forthcoming.
Entertainment will also be provided.

The Ozark Heritage Arts Center will sponsor a two-day Gospel Music Festival
on May 29 and 30.  The Festival will feature local musicians and will begin
at 7:00 p.m. on Friday the 29 and conclude Saturday evening.  Music during
the day will be geared to young adults and children.  The Festival will
feature many styles of music ranging from old Gospel to more contemporary Christian fare.
Any local musician who would like to participate, should contact the Arts
Center at 447-2500.  Tickets for the event will be $5 for Friday and $7 for
Saturday.  Tickets for both days can be purchased for $10.  Tickets for
Seniors and Children will be $2 cheaper.  For more information, contact the
