SELF DEFENSE FOR THE AVERAGE CITIZEN $25

Thursday (Sept 12-Sept 26) 2–3:30 pm Dan Eidson

This is a NON Martial Arts class. In other words, it’s for everyone! Personal safety and security depends on you. Learn simple and effective ways to protect yourself that will make you more confident in your everyday life in any situation. Enjoy life to the fullest when you feel secure in your own safety while traveling, etc. A total of 3 sessions. Min 4/ Max 10

EXTREME RECIPE MAKEOVER $35

Mondays (Sept 16- 30) 10a.m.–12 noon Carol King Kennard

Reg. dietitian/health & wellness coach, Give your recipes an extreme makeover using tips and tricks–adding nutrients, fiber and other good stuff, while reducing saturated and trans fat, sugar, and salt. . Come along on this 5-week adventure of exploring and experimenting to discover how sneaky healthy food can be. If you have dietary restrictions, join in the fun! Min 5/ Max 12

COMPUTER BASICS $35

Tuesdays (Sept 10-Oct 8) 9–11 am Lee Phillips

Hands-on workshop to learn how to effectively maneuver through your computer’s programs. All introductory skills will be taught from turning the computer on and off correctly to file management. A total of 5 sessions. Min 7/ Max 12

iPAD and iPHONE $20

Monday and Tuesday (November – TBD ) 4 p.m.–6:30 pm with Ron Phillips

Understanding how to maximize the use of your iPad or iPhone. Two session course. Min 6/ Max 12

FACEBOOK FOR BEGINNERS SPECIAL! $FREE

Wednesdays (Sept 18 & 25 ) 4 –6 p.m. Deborah Bond

Understanding how to connect with your family & friends on facebook while maintaining your complete privacy. Use our computers to try it in a controlled situation. You just might LOVE it! DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY $35

Students would like to gain more knowledge of photography regardless of the type of camera equipment you are using now. Learn to make the most of your point and shoot camera or learn more about the advanced camera you now own. A total of 5 sessions. Min7/ Max 12

ART–OIL PAINTING $35

Thursdays (Sept 12-Oct 10) 9:30 -11:30 am Doris Sexson

This class is for the beginner or intermediate artist and Includes mixing of oil paints, development of the student’s creative ability. Five sessions. (Some supplies may need to be purchased). Min 6/ Max 12

HERBS! LAVENDAR! $15

Tuesday or Thursday 5 – 7 p.m. (may select either Sept 10 OR 12) Erica Clements

Come and learn about the healing properties of natural herbs and be prepared to enjoy the experience. Erica grows all kinds of herbs commercially and makes lots of things using the various herbs including soaps, oils, sachets, etc. You’ll leave with handouts that will help you continue to learn more. HERBS! SPA EXPERIENCE USING HERBS $30

You will make some great products to take home. This is an all-inclusive class where you will learn how to make your own soap, oils and take them home to share with family. Great learning experience and value! Min 3/ Max 12.

RELAXATION TECHNIQUES $15

Stress buster class! Learn how to easily reduce your own stress and calm yourself in any situation. Min.3/ Max 10.

UKRANIAN EGG DECORATING $35

Wednesdays 1 p.m – 3:30 p.m. Chuck Dawson

You can learn this ancient art form under the patient instructor who has held the most popular and well loved one day class all summer long. You will receive more detailed instructions for 5 weekly sessions and enjoy this hobby for years to come. Min 5/ Max 12

ART–ONE-DAY OIL PAINTING $35

Any Skill Level (Date TBD by appt.) Doris Sexson

This would be a great event for your club or organization or make it a family affair. Reserve a class at our center for your private party. All inclusive class in one (1) session, and all supplies furnished. A finished 8×10 canvas painting suitable for framing at the end of class!. Min 5/ Max 12.

FLOOR CLOTH PROJECT Gay Coe $35

Thursdays 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (Sept 12-26) No artistic talent needed! Artistic design using stamps and paint. In three weeks, you will create your own unique piece using Gay’s techniques. Supply cost is additional $10 payable to instructor at start of class. Stop by the office and see sample at registration. Min 7/ Max 12

GOURD ART (TBD) Stop in at registration to see the beautiful gourds artistically decorated. Make your own table decorations for the fall season. With enough interest, we will schedule this class promptly! Min 7/ Max 12.

“BASIC INVESTING RULES OF THE ROAD” &”FOCUS” . 10 principles for sound investments, and also how to identify and avoid the most common investment mistakes. “Focus” covers bond characteristics, features, as well as key strategies to get the most of one’s fixed-income investments. FREE.

BEGINNER & INTERMEDIATE PIANO CLASSES – Mondays 9 am–2 pm with Susan Calaway. $40

You’re never too old to learn how to play the piano in these private lessons on the piano or keyboard. Appointment needed. Tuition is for 5 weekly sessions of 45-minutes each!

BEGINNER & “RE-INTRO” BASIC GUITAR CLASSES – Fridays by appointment with Dan Eidson. $20 Introductory class. Learn the basic strumming and chording techniques or re-call your old skills from days gone by. You can book a series of classes with Dan if desired. Pricing is based on your needs.
