Four State Agencies Join AARP for May 17 Consumer Forum in Clinton

  LITTLE ROCK—Four state agencies are partnering with AARP Arkansas to host a consumer protection forum in Clinton on Tuesday, May 17, 2011.     The forum, which is free of charge, will be held at the Ozark Health Foundation, 245 Quality Drive. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by the program from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A complimentary lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m.     The Office of the Arkansas Attorney General, the Arkansas Securities Department, the Arkansas Insurance Department, and the Department of Human Services Division of Aging and Adult Services join AARP Arkansas to present the consumer protection forum.     Attendance is limited and advanced registration is required, by calling 1-877-926-8300 (toll-free).     The forum will include opening remarks by Attorney General Dustin McDaniel and presentations on securities fraud, senior insurance issues, Medicare fraud, consumer alerts and suggestions on how to stretch your retirement dollars. Questions will be taken from the audience.     There will be a 30-minute break during the forum for participants to visit exhibits from the four state agencies and AARP.     Other scheduled forums in this series include Blytheville on June 16, 2011. After one block, take a right at the 4 way stop onto Quality Drive. Ozark Health is the first large building on the left; it formerly housed the Volex factory/warehouse.
