Fundraiser to be held Saturday 7-15 for Bryan & Julie Duncan at the Timbo School

Bethany Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Onia is hosting a fundraiser for Bryan & Julie Duncan this Saturday, July 15, at the Timbo School Campus.

Bryan, a deacon of our church, is a 32-year-old husband and father of two that has been facing serious health problems for more than two years since being diagnosed with a rare liver disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis and other serious health complications. There is no treatment or cure for PSC. Liver transplantation is the only possible option. Bryan, fortunately, received a liver transplant from his father-in-law as his living donor in February 2016. Things went great for many months until Bryan’s body formed antibodies to attack the new liver & his PSC returned. He received his 2nd liver transplant on June 9 with hopes that the same complications will not reoccur. Please keep Bryan & his young family in your prayers.

There will be a gospel concert featuring 5 South, Twang, & Lee Mountain Ramblers. Hog roast meal, bake sale, live auction, & raffle items begin at 5:00 pm. Lots of items available for live auction and raffle including Henry 22 LR, Glock 42 .380, guided fishing package, Ironworks items, Ronaldo Power of Prayer Bracelet, registered 10-week old duck hunting Labrador Retriever puppy, handmade dining set, quilts, wrench sets, locally made furniture, lots of gift certificates, and much more. There will be activities for kids including bounce houses, face painting, games, snow cones, & concession. Bring lawn chairs & blankets.
