Governor Asa Hutchinson Announces Appointments

LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson today announced the following appointments:
 
Timothy Watson, Newport, as Circuit Judge of the Third Judicial Circuit, Division 2. Appointment begins January 1, 2018. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces the Honorable Philip Smith.
 
Dana Stone, Murfreesboro, as District Judge of the Pike County District Court. Appointment expires December 31, 2018. Replaces the Honorable LeAnne Daniel. 
 
Lee Watson, Fort Smith, as a Special Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Arkansas. CV-17-240 Larry Walther, Director, Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration v. FLIS Enterprises, Inc. Replaces Chief Justice John Dan Kemp, who has disqualified himself from the case. 
Dr. Curtis Cunningham, Siloam Springs, to the Advisory Council for the Education of Gifted and Talented Children. Appointment expires July 20, 2020. Replaces Dustin Seaton. 
 
Steve Groves, Garland City, to the Garland Levee District Board of Directors. Appointment expires October 1, 2023. Reappointment. 
 
James Smith, Maumelle, to the Capitol Zoning District Commission. Appointment expiresAugust 13, 2020. Replaces Michael Hutchinson. 
 
Beverly Jones, Little Rock, to the Capitol Zoning District Commission. Appointment expiresAugust 13, 2020. Reappointment.
