Griffin to Present Patriot Award to Local Veteran

Congressman Tim Griffin (AR-02) announced he will present the Civilian Marksmanship Program’s (CMP) Patriot Award to Chief Warrant Officer 4 Ron Angel, US Army, Retired, on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. CT.  Once a part of the United States Army itself, the CMP is a congressionally-created nonprofit organization dedicated to training and educating U.S. citizens in the responsible use of firearms through gun safety training, marksmanship training and competition.  The Patriot Award program honors veterans who have demonstrated valor in military service and a continued dedication to their fellow Americans after leaving the service.  This event is open to the public and the media.
